The Bab Atlas project proposes a new resort development prototype for the Palm Grove area of Marrakech: to balance the growing demand for real estate and resort development with preservation and rehabilitation of the once magnificent Palm Grove (the “Palmeraie”) and its productive agricultural landscape.
The project presents an opportunity to demonstrate that contemporary resort and residential development can co-exist with not only the passive green area of the Palmeraie, but also with a productive agriculture landscape that rehabilitates important cultural and environmental traditions of the Marrakech region.
The resort concept for the site integrates three distinct hotel brands, each catering to different market segments, with lodging, amenities, and branded residential real estate (villas as well as apartments).
